  • 0

Updating your domain’s nameservers is an essential step when connecting your domain to your web hosting account. This guide will walk you through the process of updating your domain’s nameservers, whether you purchased your domain with WordPress Hosting Hub or from another domain registrar.

Step 1: Log Into Your Client Area

1. Visit the WordPress Hosting Hub website.

2.Click on Client Area located at the top of the page.

3.Enter your email address and password to log in. If you don’t have an account, click Sign Up to create one.

Step 2: Find Your Hosting Nameservers

If you’ve purchased your hosting with WordPress Hosting Hub, you’ll need to know your hosting nameservers. These nameservers are required to update your domain’s DNS settings.

Where to Find Your Nameservers

1.Log into your Client Area at wphostinghub.com.

2.On the left sidebar, you’ll see the nameservers listed.

3.Copy the nameservers, which will typically look like this:

ns1.wphostinghub.com
ns2.wphostinghub.com

Step 3: Log Into Your Domain Registrar Account

If your domain was purchased from another registrar, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Google Domains, you will need to log into that account to update the nameservers.

1.Open your domain registrar’s website (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.).

2.Log into your account using your username and password.

Step 4: Update the Nameservers

For GoDaddy Users

1.After logging into your GoDaddy account, go to the Domains section.

2.Find and select the domain you want to update.

3.Scroll down to the Additional Settings section.

4.Click on Manage DNS.

5.Under Nameservers, click on Change.

6.Select Custom and enter the nameservers provided by WordPress Hosting Hub (ns1.wphostinghub.com, ns2.wphostinghub.com).

7.Click Save to update your nameservers.

For Namecheap Users

1.Log into your Namecheap account.

2.Go to the Domain List section.

3.Select the domain you want to update.

4.Scroll down to the Nameservers section.

5.Select Custom DNS and enter the nameservers provided by WordPress Hosting Hub.

6. Click Save Changes.

For Google Domains Users

1.Log into your Google Domains account.

2.Click on the My Domains tab.

3.Select the domain you wish to update.

4.Scroll down to DNS Settings.

5.Under Custom Resource Records, update the Nameservers to match the ones provided by WordPress Hosting Hub.

6.Click Save.

Step 5: Wait for DNS Propagation

Once you’ve updated your nameservers, it can take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours for the changes to propagate across the internet. During this time, your website might not be accessible, but don’t worry—it’s normal!

Step 6: Verify Your Nameserver Update

After waiting for the DNS to propagate, verify if your nameservers have been updated successfully:

1.Open your web browser and type in your domain name (e.g., yourdomain.com).

2.If your website loads correctly, it means your nameservers have been updated successfully.

3.If you encounter a DNS error, wait a few hours, and then try again. Also, try clearing your browser cache if necessary.

Final Steps

Once your domain’s nameservers are updated:

1.Ensure your domain is connected to your hosting account.

2.Log into your WordPress dashboard at yourdomain.com/wp-admin and start managing your website.

3.Install essential plugins, configure settings, and customize your site.
